This product is a colorless oily solvent with low volatile and high boiling point, with a slight rose and burning flavor. Melting point 11-13°C, boiling point 244°C, relative density (20°C) 1.11, refractive rate (20°C) 1.536 to 1.541. It is easily soluble in alcohol, ether, acetone, glycerin and sodium hydroxide solution, slightly soluble in 30 g/L (20°C) of water and olive oil. It is stable in acids or bases. Because it has excellent solubility to acrylic resin, nitrocellulose, ethyl cellulose, epoxy resin, alkyd resin, phenoxy resin and other resins, and can be mixed with alcohol and ether, it is commonly known as a "omnipotent solvent".

It can be used as a permeable agent, fungicide, spice protective agent and diluent in washing and cosmetics. It can also be used as a solvent and improver for paint, ink and ballpoint pen oil, as well as an environmentally friendly carrier solvent for textile printing and dyeing.
